A non-intrusive photojournalistic approach is taken with all commissions, capturing the emotions, personality and relationships that make up the essence of family and friends.

With a background in makeup artistry and drawing in various media, Jessica has an eye for beauty and detail which few can compare to. By using a combination of the non-intrusive style of photojournalism along with some loosely guided posing, we are able to provide beautiful images that consistently exceed the expectations of our clients.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER: Jessica Powell is a passionate person with an insatiable desire for the understanding of the human spirit and raw emotion. This, among many other reasons, is what drew her to photography and weddings, in particular. She studied Psychology at Bellarmine University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004. As she continued to search for a way to fulfill her need to connect with people and make a valuable contribution to the community while using a creative outlet, she was drawn to photography. It wasn’t until after much support and encouragement from her husband, that her true dream was realized and Vogue Visions Photography was born.
A newlywed herself, Jessica remembers the excitement and happiness, as well as the frustrations experienced while planning a wedding. She knows that your photographer is the most important decision you will make, as your images will live on forever through prints and albums. Jessica is prepared to meet and exceed the high expectations for your images.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING ? Most events are booked six months to one year in advance, with few exceptions. Providing our brides & grooms with the highest quality work is our top priority. This only allows us to give full attention to a number of wedding commissions per year. Only one event is scheduled per day and dates are reserved on a first come first serve basis. We are currently booking for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
HOW DO I RESERVE PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES ? Weddings: If your date is available, a signed contract and $599 is required to make a reservation. The remaining balance is due thirty days prior to your wedding date. Lifestyle Portraiture: A signed contract and half of the Creation Fee is required to make a reservation. The remaining balance is due at the time of service.
WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW MY IMAGES ON THE INTERNET? Yes, we offer all clients complimentary password protected online proofing hosted by our online partner Pictage. After your wedding or portrait session, you are easily able view your images online, share them with family and friends.
DO I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN BLACK & WHITE AND COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY?* Digital photography allows for your images to be reproduced in either format without a compromise in quality.
WILL AN ASSISTANT BE AVAILABLE FOR MY WEDDING ? Generally speaking, Jessica works independently in order to have quick access to equipment needed to capture your moments as they happen. This also allows her creative services to more easily fit into your budget. With that being said, this option can be evaluated if you feel it may be beneficial.
DOES VOGUE VISIONS PHOTOGRAPHY TRAVEL ? Yes, we are available for local and regional wedding coverage (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.) No travel fees are assessed for wedding venues within one hundred miles of Louisville, Kentucky. Reasonable fees are assessed for venues exceeding one hundred miles.

AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION IS OUR GIFT TO YOU WHEN YOU RESERVE OUR SERVICES FOR YOUR WEDDING. We value the business of our clients and use the engagement session to say thank you for booking your wedding with us. It serves as an introduction to our unique photographic style and familiarizes clients and their families with the use of Pictage, our online partner. Most importantly, this session facilitates the growth of the photographer/ client relationship.
WE UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND THEIR CLIENTS. Clients who are comfortable with their photographer have successful sessions that translate into beautiful images. An initial consultation is provided without charge to all clients; this session is not only for the purpose of determining client needs, but to begin building this relationship. Additional planning sessions are also provided for wedding clients.
WEDDINGS: All-inclusive wedding coverage is $1999.99. Additions to the all-inclusive coverage, such as albums & parents albums, may be added a la carte. Most couples customize a complete package ranging from $2799- $3999.
All-inclusive wedding coverage consists of:LIFESTYLE PORTRAITURE: The Creation Fee for Lifestyle Portraiture is $149, which includes a high resolution disc of images with printing permission. Lifestyle portraiture includes maternity, baby, family and high school seniors. Sessions are held in the clients’ home, backyard or at a local park within the Louisville, Kentucky area and are available Monday-Thursday only.
