After shooting family photos for this sweet couple several times, I was totally bummed when I had to tell them I couldn't shoot their newborn photos after the holidays. At that point, I was feeling out of energy and ready to go on maternity leave. But when Michelle wrote me an email asking me to refer another photographer, she got the timing just right. I had been a little ball of energy for days, getting things ready for our own little bundle of joy, so I told her I would do it. So, after I shampooed all of our carpets and then made a home-made coffee cake for my brother's birthday celebration, I headed over to shoot these portraits. I may have overdone it a bit. At 37 weeks and a day, I can definitely say that I am now officially going on maternity leave. But I am so glad I had the chance to shoot these. Little Luke is such a doll!! (and don't you just love his name?!)

I shot the engagement and wedding portraits for little Nolan's parents a few years ago. It is always such a pleasure being able to capture such special moments in the lives of my clients. I am truly blessed!

2012 has been a wonderful year. I am so very blessed to continue to be able to work with such amazing clients. As my own pregnancy draws to an end, I am looking forward to spending some time with the newest member of our family in 2013. I expect that I will be back working toward the end of the spring. Happy New Year, everyone!
